Influenced by synthpop, classic new wave / cold wave, minimal techno, and with a pinch of post punk, Avro first released their first EP ‘Anatomy Act’ in 2016, followed by a full length album ‘Futuretroactivism’ as a duo with fellow Vancouver Island musician Megan Rose, in 2022. 

Now back as a solo artist, Avro will be releasing their upcoming album ‘Psychopathé’ in January 2026.  

In 2022, the first single from Futuretroactivism titled ‘Promise Notes’ was released with a video that has garnered thousands of plays across social media, and charted across Canadian college radio.  

Since their first album release, Avro has been a regular at BC festival dates such as The Woodstove Festival in Cumberland BC, Winter Arts Fest in Vancouver, and Rogue Festival on the BC Sunshine Coast.  

After their spring 2023 tour across Ontario and Quebec promoting Futuretroactivism, Avro shared stages and events with other electronic and pop artists like Devours, Moonbean, and Drama Queen, crafting an energetic stage show that has kept audiences moving to their tight darker rhythms and hypnotic vocals. 

In 2024, Avro also contributed three remixes for several tracks on Bif Naked’s latest release ‘Champion’, gaining airplay on European radio.  As busy as he’s been, locked in their secret island studio base mixing for the last few months, Avro is at last looking forward to getting this latest album 'Psychopathé' released in January 2026, with more shows to follow.
