Canadian electronic band Avro returns with “Liars in Love,” a groove-heavy synth anthem that channels the late-night pulse of acid house and the euphoric chaos of the late ’80s and early ’90s rave scene. Released on November 7, the single is available now for download, and on all streaming platforms via Warranty:Void Records.
With hypnotic heat-hazy basslines, glowing synths, and a propulsive beat, “Liars in Love” explores the glittering illusion of affection, and the stories we tell ourselves when we crave connection. Told through the hazy lens of a wild Las Vegas weekend, the track captures both the glitter and the hangover of desire.
“The title really says it all - it’s about that heady, temporary kind of love you chase under neon lights, and letting go of self control for purely selfish reasons,” says Adam aka Avro. “It’s when you really want to believe a lie, because it feels better than the truth.”
Remixes
True to form, the new Liars in Love single includes two distinct remix interpretations. The Quick Kick “Trust mix” delivers dark desert house music vibe, with an intense minimalist black heart bass and rhythm, driving the song towards an endless horizon.
Meanwhile Canadian Synthwave champions Nakatomi Freefall take the mix farther back into the 80s, toying with an uplifting legwarmer pop feel reminiscent of artists like Kon Kan, and Information Society.
Both remixes expand on the single’s emotional and sonic palette in very different directions, all while maintaining the dancefloor confessional vibe.
